Ding 69! Ten Hours to Go…

Ding 69 statsThis morning Gitr dinged 69 by completing a quest from Ruaan Weald, deep in the Wyrmcultist cave. Experience Fu is estimating that I have 10 hours of leveling to go to ding 70. Here is my plan for the week to get to 70 in good shape:

  • Go back to Shadowmoon Valley to complete many of those quests that I’ve neglected by doing Netherstorm instead.
  • Do frequent LFGs when I do get 2-3 hours to play to get into some instances for XP, rep, and loot.
  • Play the AH to get enough gold for my flying mount upon the big ding. Time to go get Auctioneer Classic again… Advanced is bugging the heck out of me.
  • Clear out all of my group/elite quests that are jamming my questlog.
  • Research the Protection spec I will be using for instances/raiding with Doom’s Assailants on Silvermoon (US-PvE).
  • Consider re-speccing now and simply instancing my way to 70 in really fine, fun fashion. Who wants to grind/quest anyway?

Gitr – Gratz on the ding! On Auctioneer, Classic is a good choice. Just keep in mind that if you’ve been using Advanced for a while, and neglected your Classic scanning, then your database will be out of date (they don’t use the same data files). That means you’ll be showing potential profits based on a limited snapshot which could skew the results.

Looking forward to seeing you on your epic mount.

Thanks for the warning. I suspected as much, but it shouldn’t take long on Silvermoon with its roaring economy. I’ll do morning and night scans on weekdays to get a good picture.

You confirmed my concern quite nicely. /much appreciated.

Update on my last comment – according to the Auctioneer add-on FAQ, if you update Auctioneer Classic data the Advanced suite will pick it up. But that’s not instant – only when you search for items (which might or might not be a big deal).

Congrats on the ding and best of success in your endeavors to purchase your flying mount!

Thanks, Anon. Thanks for coming by.

Grats on 69 and listen to Og he has some really good advice on the AH I have been kind of following his AH flipping advice. and I am still doing quests in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley. That pick you have up there thats all I want to see on my UI.

    Grats man!!

    Just 1 more to go!

Personally what i did to ensure i got lots of cash at 70 was completely avoid Terrokar forest as much as possible when leveling.

This way when i hit 70 i just ran back to terrokar and nuked the quest that net me loads of gold!! The quests are easy at 70!

I did that with my druid (the second toon i got to 70) with my main i hit 70 in SMV having not yet been to Netherstorm.

    Grats. I hit 62 last night. >=D

And I got my epic mount training!

    :D

Time to do 60-69 WSG and Arathi Basin’s until I get enough marks.. 11 marks for WSG, and 7 for AB.. Already have 60 AV marks, rawr. :P

Also have rested xp up until almost lv63.

I can’t wait, have no work thursday and friday, going to tear up the grinding with my fancy epic mount..

And with the new patch, and running some instances, I’m still lv62 in Hellfire Peninsula, with a good half of joana’s guide on the zone left… o.O

On a side note, is it me, or does it seem Joana kind of half-assed the 60-70 guide? It’s very messy, and just confusing all around compared to the 1-60, or 1-20 guides..
(Not trying to slander it, I’m following it for god’s sake. :P )

Grats! Gitr has almost 50% rest, but I logged out on the road last night because I was in deep ogre territory and didn’t want to fight my way back tonight.

I suppose I could do BGs…. j.k! I’m at 280g and will probably have no problem getting the 600g I need for my slow 160% flying mount. It’s a little too late to save any zone’s quests for later, but I can stop now and purely tank my way to 70 in the instances that I’ve never seen.

I honestly didn’t even follow Joana’s with Deadr or Huntr because the quests all come so fast and you need to do it all the time or you’ll miss a part of a chain quest and get somewhere and not be able to do it for credit. If I had it printed out, I’d probably have followed it, though.

Phil bought Kopp’s last week, we’ll see his review in a bit.

  • Milkshakes said:

I didn’t like Kopp’s old guide, it was unorganized and didn’t have links with names that tell you the level range, or zone, just “page1″ “page2″.. etc., etc. He even admitted to not ever making a dwarf, or a gnome, I forget, but he basically said that he just went through looking at the quests and put it down.
    >_<

(For some reason, it didn’t post the bottom part of my post for some reason.)

Only reason I use Joana’s is because I have a dual monitor setup.. So, yeah.

    Go go Gitr!

I have 31 gold to my name, and a debt to pay to an IRL friend, lol.. Just want to get my epic mount atm.. So I can feel so badass. :P

I want to find someone that will level *with* me so I have more motivation to level, I would say on a pvp server, but I’m afraid to start a new server without any money.. ><

Come to Silvermoon, start Alliance, and you’ll have Lance and Phil and me. If you prove yourself to be awesome (j/k), I’m confident that Runnik will let you join Doom’s Assailants. We’re up to 82 toons and people are plenty friendly to help you out.

Shooot. I got Phil Cookies Stirring Rod last night… except he was too far away to loot the corpse! Booyeah! Lesson learned as a mass-pulling uber tank: stay closer to the lowbie.

  • Milkshakes said:

    Silvermoon, hmm?

    Alliance?

    I dunno man.. I’m naturally horde… :p

But I might make an exception. :)

What to roll, what to roll… Hrmmm..

    160%?

    Its 60%!!!

  • Gitr (Author) said:

DANG! I thought it was written weird… so you go 40% slower than running?

  • Milkshakes said:

Ouch. But you don’t get aggro.
    :)

  • Milkshakes said:

Haha, well, my goal for the weekend now is to hit like, L15, or even maybe 20 on my flipping NE Druid.
    :O

It’s so much fun to be balanced, I don’t know how I’ll take to Feral, but I’m hoping well.

Can’t wait to be booming some hordies.
    =D

  • Firelight said:

    No no no!

Level 40 Mount is 60% faster than running.

Level 60 Mount is 100% faster than running.

Normal Flight speed is 60% faster than running.

Epic Flight speed is 280% faster than running.

    So i suppose your 160% is kinda correct i guess….. :-P
