I Believe I Can Fly!
After dedicating myself to Netherstorm quests that involved killing humanoids for cash and good reward money, I was well on my way to a 200g night after only a couple of hours. I had 146g more in my bags than when I started and got 6 green drops to auction off when I saw a guildie ask if anyone wanted to do The Ring of Blood.
Did I!? Heck yeah, double gold at level 70 for 10 minutes of pure fun, count me in. We blew through them and had great healing from a random 67 pally in Nagrand who only got silenced once and made me pop a potion. I selected the 2H axe for 10g vendor trash and announced to the guild how glad I was to only be 200g from getting my flying mount.
The next thing I know, Pandara (70 uber mage) opened up a trade window and very slowly typed 2 0 0 in the money box. I asked him if he was sure because I wasn’t asking for assistance. He said to pay me back in time because I’ll be rolling on gold soon. I gladly accepted the gift and flew off to SMV to buy my biggest purchase ever: 800g of riding training and a Snowy Gryphon. I popped the video recorder on for the big event and will be putting it to some music. I flew around for a while and completed a couple of quests by dropping down onto locations and logged for the… morning.

hehe i still dont have my epic flying mount much less did any of the daily quest lines…so lazy and boring when it gets to that….must more fun to pvp >.<…but grats none the less now do some TK instances and get some gear!
Congrats. First flying mount rocks!! I was on my mage yesterday for the first time since I started playing again and realized how much I miss flying around. Gratz again and go get em’.
It looks like I will be re-speccing tonight when I get home from class. Hopefully we get out of Brit Lit early, because I’m operating on 3 hours of sleep from last night. DOH!!!

Time for the 3rd fragment, Rescue from Durnholde, and the Black Morass segment. I’ve already got a slot in the raids, and if I can’t make it, you’re right, I see PuGs on Silvermoon all the time. Shooooot, maybe Hogit’s guild will let me tag along with Team 12 to Kara.
I know how it feels to fly around on your very first flyer. I am still trying to earn the cash for my epic, but I do enjoy doing quests so much more now that I can swoop in, do what I need to do, then fly out and back to the quest giver.

I was totally shocked to get over 400g in one night when I put my mind to completing quests.

Gratz, man. I just got my epic flying skill last week. You wanna talk about sad? Spend that 5000 gold on the training, plus the 160 gold on the Purple Nether Ray I bought. My bank account was wiped. But it was seriously well worth it to be able to swoop around at 280% speed increase.
And seriously, start hitting up those TK instances. There’s some mighty fine loot in there that’ll get you geared up for Kara.
I looked at LFG last night, but the only person looking for TK was a Prot pally. I respecc’d per the suggestions. More on that later today.

Wow, that took no time at all for you, did it? Glad to see you following my advice.
Just kidding.
I wish I farmed gold that quickly… I think it took me a solid week or two to gather up all the money I needed. Word of advice: don’t blow all your cash at the AH on 69-70 greens at the AH when you hit that final level, no matter how crappy your gear is. I learned this the hard way.

Nah, no wasting AH money on greens, here. I went for the blues! I like shiny gems and knew I’d need more defense to tank Kara if I got in before I got new gear from instances.

Rememberi only got my Epic flight over Christmas.
So i was flying around on that lame ass mount for a LONG time.
Once you get that 5200g you need for flight/mount you make your money back doing the netherwing quests….easy money!!
