Enchanting Is Well Underway; 125 and Rising

March 9, 2007 By Gitr 5 Comments

I didn’t get to play last night because the cable Internet went down. It started with lag (3300ms),  then lost looting of DEing items, then lost chats. Boom. Disconnected from server. The modem light was doing the pissy steady blink of trouble. I went to bed at 9:30, still mad at American Idol.

I saw AMAZING prices of dust, essences, and shards. This is the money-maker on BL. I can tell. After a really good article on enchanting I read earlier this week (somewhere, don’t remember where), I don’t care if I can’t make money enchanting things…it’s disenchanting where the money is.

I haven’t looked too high up the chain, but I saw Greater Magic Essences for 1g each, Soul Dust for 5g a stack, and Vision Dust for 9g a stack. The cost of DEing those is a fraction of that. Sweet. I think I’ll be spending a lot of time in Silvermoon running between the AH/mailbox and Enchanter/mailbox.

A Monopoly on Netherweave Bags

March 8, 2007 By Gitr 6 Comments

When my cohort, Bloodaxel, logged in last night, we chatted for a while on what to do with my selling him bags and such. He wanted me to sell them to him for less. I told him that the 12 bags I just sent him cost me more because the price of cloth was higher last night.

He replied with a loud: “WTF BUYING??!!” He thought I was farming 12 bags’ worth of cloth twice a day, I guess. Sha….right. I have a life! Once he got it clear that my price was determined by the market, he agreed to let me sell them along with him as long as we don’t sell lower than the other. In fact, we are going to buy out everyone lower than x amount and let the other between that price and ours sell out or expire. He said they have been buying them at that price for ages, even when I was low-balling him. This morning, we were the only ones selling Netherweave Bags. 🙂 Now that I’m farming for cloth, my profits should get much nicer.

Considering Dropping Mining for Enchanting

March 8, 2007 By Gitr 10 Comments

Okay, okay, I’m tired of shelling out so much money for crafting Imbued Netherweave Bags. They require 8 Arcane Dusts each, which comes out to 15-20g per bag on my server. Greens drop on a regular basis in Outlands, and I don’t think getting through to the enchanting trainer in Uldaman. Actually, does anyone know if it is even necessary to go there since there is a Master Enchanting Trainer in Shattrath City?

Mining is all and good, but you have to farm for spawns of ore and I’d have to go out and finish up my last 29 points until I can start mining where I’m playing. Greens are everywhere when you kill and you can get them on the AH and as quest rewards that aren’t any good. I’ve got a chest, belt, and 2 pair of boots that I don’t really want to use, plus a bunch of weapons that aren’t going to match my dagger and wand combo right now. I might as well do something with them.

What do you say? Tailor/Enchanting with Aldor combo?

Deadr Is a Mooncloth Tailor – A How-To Guide

March 8, 2007 By Gitr Leave a Comment

I visited Nasmara Moonsong in Lower City of Shattrath last night to pick up a much cheaper copy of Primal Mooncloth than what was listed in the AH. To my delight, it was only a 4g recipe. I saw that she was also a questgiver, and one for a tailoring specialty, to boot. I checked the other two specializations of Tailoring and picked Mooncloth for one reason, I want to be able to use the bags that I craft. The Shadowcloth 20-slot bag is for Warlocks only. I am obviously drawn to the power of those crafted pieces with +Shadow dmg, but what the heck good is a bag that I can’t use. Besides, I can always use the +Healing gear in instances that take just a bit more umph for healing while remaining Shadow spec for VE healing and soloing.

Back to Moonsong. She’s located at 66,69 in Shattrath City and gives the quest Becoming a Mooncloth Tailor. She gives you a Square of Imbued Netherweave, which you need to take to the moonwell in Cenarian Refuge in Zangarmarsh. That done, I received 11,000xp and became a Mooncloth Tailor. I Love Netherweave Cloth

March 1, 2007 By Gitr 1 Comment

I realized that the market for Netherweave Bags was good enough for a sizable profit over mats on BL. I took my 100g and whittled it down to 31g and also bought some leather that is supposed to sell well, but hasn’t yet. I bought up Netherweave Cloth like crazy. I made 2 bags for Jikksta for last night’s witty answer to my contest and sold 3 more. They sold just as I hearthed back to Shattrath City.

Not being one to miss out on a good thing, I went back to Undercity to buy more cloth and sold 6 more. I also posted a wand that had been giving me AH trouble before and sold it for 110g. This morning, I bought 12 stacks of cloth and made a pair or Netherweave Pants and Netherweave Gloves to hit 340 Tailoring and made 10 more Netherweave Bags. I bought the recipe for Imbued Netherweave Bags on the AH right then and there.
